Brandon Blackstock, renowned Hollywood talent manager and former husband of singer Kelly Clarkson, has passed away at the age of 48. His family confirmed the news on August 7, 2025, sharing that he was surrounded by loved ones.
Blackstock had four children—River and Remington with Clarkson, and Savannah and Seth from a previous marriage—and had also become a grandfather in recent years. His career in the entertainment industry included managing top artists such as Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton. He was also the stepson of country music legend Reba McEntire, who was married to his father, Narvel Blackstock, until 2015.
Brandon and Kelly first met in 2006 during rehearsals for the Academy of Country Music Awards, reconnecting years later before marrying in October 2013. During their marriage, Blackstock also served as Clarkson’s manager, blending their personal and professional lives.
Their marriage ended in 2020, with the divorce finalized in 2022. Despite the separation, Blackstock remained respected in the industry and is remembered as a dedicated professional, father, and grandfather.
