At the restaurant, Emily and Damon connect instantly—until Damon shows her a photo of his son, Jordan. Emily stares, stunned. Jordan looks exactly like her son, Bradley. Stranger still, both boys were born on April 16—and neither was adopted.
Damon confronts his ex-wife, Naomi, who suffers from schizophrenia. She recalls giving birth to “a baby—and a parasite,” and says a tall man took one away. Meanwhile, Emily discovers a letter from her late husband, Jack. He confesses he found an abandoned baby and faked adoption papers—Bradley was that child.
When Damon returns, Emily shares the letter. He realizes Bradley may be his biological son. Emily pleads, “Please don’t take him.” But before he can answer, Bradley storms in, holding Jack’s old rifle. “I’m not going anywhere!”
Damon speaks calmly. “You’re Emily’s son. That won’t change.” They explain the truth gently. Though shaken, Bradley agrees to a DNA test—and to meet Jordan. As he walks upstairs, Damon takes Emily’s hand and says, “Whatever happens next, we face it together—as a family.”
